The Australian Body Art Carnivale is orchestrated by a voluntary organising committee with members from five alliance organisations based in Eumundi - the Eumundi Chamber of Commerce (ECC), the Eumundi Combined Community Organisation (ECCO), the Eumundi and District Community Association (EDCA), the Eumundi and District Historical Association (EHA) and the Original Eumundi Markets.
The committee has contracted the services of event manager Danielle Taylor of Firefly Solutions.
The event was initiated in 2007 and is run as a free community event with administration done by the not for profit community organisation, Eumundi Chamber of Commerce.
The Carnivale provides a unique event that matches the artistic talents and energy of the Eumundi community.
A Little Bit of History....
The concept of a body art carnival in Eumundi was introduced by local body painter, Ria Clauss to the Eumundi Historical Association (EHA) in 2007 after she attended the World Body Art Festival in Austria. EHA ran the first few festivals prior to it being transferred to the Eumundi Chamber of Commerce in late 2010. Over the years, hundreds of dedicated volunteers have contributed their time and efforts to make the Carnivale the amazing success that it is today.
